The latest addition to each of my homes are a different set of original 19th century Aesthetic Transferware Dishes. I was enchanted with the combination of 'anti-fluff' of it's design simplicity, it appealed to my rebellious nature.
This is the style that was promoted in response to the 'Bon Ton' of the day, like Oscar Wilde, Lillie Langtry and such. They still sit on my dining room table, I am loathe to put them away, knowing that soon there will be more.
I am dreaming of the day when I use them for supper in the parlor.
